Construction continues at Horizon in Sunderland with works up to floor 6 progressing onto carpentry and corridors
Additionally, work on the carpentry and corridors are also progressing throughout these floors, with plumbing installation still continuing on the Ground, 1st, and 6th floors.
Meanwhile, floors 7 to 9 are undergoing first fix electrics and dry lining works, with all construction progress on these floors in the region of 40% completed.

As well as brand-new external cladding, Horizon’s outdated windows have been replaced, whilst work continues internally as the site approaches its targeted completion date in Q3 2019.
A show apartment will soon be available for investors to view on-site at Horizon, which will show how the development will distinguish itself from other rental properties in Sunderland.

Horizon | Development Progress 28/02/2019
This update about the development progress of Horizon in Sunderland is dated from 28/02/2019.
Top floor windows are expected to be installed prior to the week commencing 25th February. Ground floor windows will
be installed toward the end of the build, in order to avoid damage from other materials entering and exiting the
building.
Internally, strip-out is nearly complete and partitioning is well underway, with some floors already being fully sectioned and
first fix electrics going in. The development remains on target to complete in July 2019.

This update about the development progress of Horizon in Sunderland is dated from 30/01/2019. The latest Horizon Construction Update shows substantial progress at the site with the main points detailed below.
Following the continued strip-out of the building in October’s construction update, internal partitioning works have now begun at Horizon, a residential conversion.
Once completed in Q3 2019, Horizon will provide 154 studio apartments located in Sunderland’s city centre priced from less than £50,000.
The new windows are now in production, which will be installed at a later date alongside new cladding to the exterior of the building.
