Main Progress from weeks 19 – 25:

  • Roofing materials have been issued to planning for approval
  • Levels in undercroft car park have been built up to omit the need for a retaining wall along grid line 9 – 16
  • Agreement in principal to build scaffold along Grid line 5 from inside SP Energy boundary
  • Preliminary report received from Omega Fire Engineers detailing proposed fire strategy. Now distributed to sub-contractors. Design development now in progress with specialist contractors.
  • Report received from Environoise Acoustic Consultants detailing acoustic requirements for the building envelope and internal partitions.
  • Base Energy design ongoing with communication via architects.
  • On-going design with regards to incoming services. Works in progress.
  • On-going procurement of remaining sub-contract packages in line with build programme.
  • A strategy is ongoing to condense the current programme in order to recover any lost time due to inclement weather.

Main Progress from weeks 19 – 25:

  • All service ductwork laid within building footprint.
  • Intumescent paint sprayed to all internal structural steel.
  • Ductwork and HV cables laid across carriageway for connection to SP network at later date.
  • Slab poured for substation.
  • Retaining wall built along GL A 5-9.
  • LV cables puled from commercial units back to substation ready for connection at later date.
  • Installation of SFS floors 1-3.
  • Sub structure drainage now 100% complete with multiple visits from building control.
  • All sub structure brickwork completes up to DPC.
  • First section of scaffold erected for installation of goods hoist.
  • First phase of substation brickwork completed.
  • U.U. engineer attended site to survey both commercial units and also apartments water connection.
  • All slab insulation and reinforcement mesh installed as per structural engineer’s drawings.
  • Ground floor slab concrete placed.

The Chavasse Building | Development Progress 04/05/2018

This update about the development progress of The Chavasse Building in Liverpool is dated from 04/05/2018. Bora complete all 1st phase of ground works concrete pads and strip foundations ahead of Structural Steel start on site(SOS).

  • Bora prepped ground for structural steel erection.
  • Quality assurance in line with site progress including phased handover of steel frame.
  • Remaining strip foundations where set out, inspected by Building Control and concrete placed.

The Chavasse Building | Development Progress 12/03/2018

This update about the development progress of The Chavasse Building in Liverpool is our very first update dated from 12/03/2018. Good progress has been made over the past 3 weeks even with the adverse weather conditions we have had over the past two weeks.

The attached report goes into more detail about what works have been completed and how things are progressing. Important points to note are below.

Main Points: 

  • Groundworkers provided additional labour and also an 8 ton excavator and 6 ton dumper to carry out all works required. We started by completing a reduce level dig from grid line 5 – 16 removing around 600 ton of spoil off site.
  • Weather conditions prevented the concrete pour taking place until Monday 5 th March. Bolt jigs again set by Groundworks Engineer
  • Scottish power engineer came to site 7th March to investigate termination of power, he has now booked work in and can take up to 10 days for work to be complete.

This update about the development progress of The Chavasse Building in Liverpool is our very first update dated from 02/02/2018. During January (weeks 10-13) we have suffered a period of inclement weather that has had a slight impact on the progress we would have liked to have made.

The attached report goes into more detail about what works have been completed and how things are progressing. Important points to note are below.

Main Points: 

  • Due to the slight delay on progress, the groundworkers are mobilising additional labour for week commencing Monday 12th February, along with the additional labour there will also be additional plant/machinery
  • Crossfield will be bringing in a new Site Manager (John Farrell ) to work under Contracts Manager, Scott Sherwood, as the site will require additional management due to increased resources and heavy plant
  • External drainage dig/survey has been carried out and inlet levels have been inspected and design submitted

The Chavasse Building | Development Progress 11/01/2018

This update about the development progress of The Chavasse Building in Liverpool is our very first update dated from 11/01/2018. A meeting has been held on site with LCC and Amey to assess and audit our road closure and site hoarding, a local councilor was also invited to engage with the local community.

Main Points: 

  • LCC agreed that we can suspend the “No Entry” to Suffolk Street enabling a 2 way system.
  • Bora conducted the GW site survey to position foundations and also transfer Datum level on to site.
  • The area of GL 1-4 was assessed surveyed by waste management company and demarcated appropriately.

The Chavasse Building | Development Progress 30/11/2017

This update about the development progress of The Chavasse Building in Liverpool is our very first update dated from 30/11/2017. The works on site commenced at the beginning of November starting with the “soft strip” of any unwanted waste that had accumulated on site, and a thorough examination of the area for sharps/needles etc.
